On February 4th, I wrote a post about watching 50 movies in 35 days. It took me a little longer – slightly over two months – to reach my 100th film watched in 2021, but here I am.
Most of the films listed here are feature-length films (> 40 minutes). However, I also included some short films directed by important filmmakers. Conversely, I left out some short films I’ve watched. Overall, I’d say I watched around 50 substantial movies.

Average movie release year: 1983 (previously 1998)
Median movie release year: 1992.5 (previously 2007.5)
I made a deliberate effort to watch older movies (including several movies from the 1920s and 30s!), and these stats definitely reflect that.
